Sports Massage Therapist, Strength and Conditioning Specialist | AboveTouch Anatomy Works
I’m a native of Charlotte, NC and a graduate of Vance High School. Afterwards, I attended NC State University where I received a B.S. in Business Administration-Marketing Concentration, and a minor in psychology. During my time at NC State, I experienced my first massage from a friend when I injured myself at the gym. It was here that I learned the power of human touch to heal. After college, and some soul searching, I decided to follow my intuition and become a massage therapist. I graduated from SouthEastern Institute’s massage therapy school with honors. It’s one of the best decisions I’ve made in my life.
With massage, the practitioner gets to express their creativity in the art of healing. Massage allows various modalities, techniques, scientific academia, and spirituality to collide in a session to bring about change in a patient. The mind, body, and soul play an intricate part in our overall health. When we neglect any part of this interwoven trio, ailments can arise. With the right therapist, this path to perfect health can be accomplished.
In an effort to provide a more comprehensive circle of services for clients, I’ve become a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist. My goal is to further develop my clients in their athletic and physical potential.
AboveTouch Anatomy Works was created to develop, inspire, preserve, and take the mind and body beyond known limits to “….its highest potential.”
I graduated from Slippery Rock University with a bachelor of science in exercise science. Upon graduation, I searched for a career path that would allow me to help people through health and wellness. I came into contact with a friend who was certified in FST, she explained to me what it was, and after our first session, I knew that this was what I wanted to do. The thing I love the most about FST is the uniqueness and versatility it has to offer. Anyone can benefit from it. You can work with people to help improve athletic performance or just improve their quality of life. It allowed me to increase my knowledge of the human body and discover the skills I have to help people heal. Lets set it free, with FST!
